The Natural History Museum of Meteora and Mushroom Museum invites you to a brand-new, immersive experience, beneath the imposing rocks of Meteora: Truffle Hunting with Horseback Riding!
This is a one-of-a-kind activity in Greece, an immersive walk in nature that ends with a plate of pasta… prepared with what you discover yourself in the forest.
What does this experience include?
Horseback ride along forest trails, ideal for beginners and families
Truffle hunting with a specially trained dog and expert guide
Mushroom tasting, featuring unique products created by the Museum
Cooking pasta on the spot, in the forest, with fresh truffles and wild mushrooms
Fine wine, soft drinks, and refreshing spring water
Visit and guided tour of the Museum
It’s clear that this is something truly special! It offers an authentic connection with nature, gastronomy, and culture. It combines adventure with knowledge, and flavor with the hidden secrets of the earth.
Ultimately, it’s an alternative way to explore the Meteora region, discovering aspects that remain unknown to this day. Importantly, it’s suitable for all ages.
The activity lasts approximately 3.5–4 hours and is available year-round, upon arrangement with the Museum.
Groups of up to 10 people are welcome. Private experiences for smaller groups are also available.
